Effects on the Wound Healing Process Using Ozonated Oils (Sesame, Nigella sativa, Hypericum perforatum) in Rats

Objective: In this study, the effects of three different ozonated oils (Sesame, Nigella sativa, and Hypericum perforatum) on wound closure rate, healing process, possible complications were examined macroscopically microscopically. Materials Methods: Twenty-one adult Wistar albino female rats used in study. Subjects divided into groups, early healing, (7 days), medium (14 late (21 days). Four full-thickness skin wounds equal size (10 mm diameter) formed back regions all rats. This region was chosen for preventing self-inflicted injuries reducing external irritation. The left open during process. While first (control) received no treatment second wound, Sesame oil, third sativa fourth perforatum oil used. No group obtained parenteral drug administration. first, second, main groups euthanized days 7, 14, 21, respectively. assessed daily.
